Sophie Hosts Narcan Training
2023 was not only my Junior/Senior Year of High School but one of peer advocacy a phrase I never really understood until now.
I listened to all the stories of people dying of Fentanyl overdoses and decided I needed to get trained in the administering of Naloxone otherwise referred to as NARCAN. I obtained a Narcan certification and then set out to arrange trainings for my peers and their families to insure they were armed with this vital information.
This training empowered me and gave me confidence as I head off to College next Fall. I have the ability to save someone’s life should that situation ever occur. By advocating and hosting these trainings my peers are also able to use what they have learned as they too head off to various colleges next year.
